On March 3, 2023, Jharkhand's Finance Minister, Dr.
Rameshwar Oraon, presented the state budget for the fiscal
year 2023-24. The budget amounted to ₹1,16,418 crores, with
a strong focus on rural development, agriculture, health,
and education. Key allocations included ₹500 crores for
desilting and significant investments aimed at improving the
state's infrastructure and social welfare schemes (Drishti
IAS).
